This porcelain beer stein features a multicolored, detailed depiction of cavalry soldiers in uniform, banners, horses and scenes from military life, with hand-applied inscriptions along the rim and a list of names flanking the main illustration. The base of the vessel measures 12.25" in diameter and stands about 11 inches tall to its pewter lid. The lid incorporates a relief profile portrait and a mounted cavalry figure finial, as well as a decorative thumb lift shaped as an eagle. The stein references the 11th Uhlan Regiment, "Reservist Michalski," and is dated 1904, indicating its presentation as a commemorative piece likely for military service. A lithophane of a couple is visible on the interior bottom when held to light. The pewter mounts show surface wear consistent with age and a missing piece on the back of the top statue. PM
