This porcelain lidded beer stein features a detailed polychrome transfer design commemorating service in the 20th Infantry Regiment, 4th Company, based in Lindau, with the service years 1901–1903 inscribed. The stein displays military and civilian scenes, regimental symbols, Bavarian crests, and a list of names vertically down the sides, likely representing the unit's members. The pewter lid includes a central portrait medallion with a Bavarian crown finial atop, decorated with relief imagery of historical Bavarian figures and inscriptions. The thumb lift is sculpted in the form of a lion holding a shield. The base interior reveals a lithophane portrait of a uniformed man when viewed through the bottom. Light wear is visible to the base and handle. Measures 10" tall and 13.5" diameter. PM
