This porcelain beer stein features a hand-painted depiction of soldiers from the 18th Train Battalion, with a central illustration of a mounted soldier, military banners, and regimental insignia. The pewter lid is surmounted by a sculpted cavalryman on horseback and bears engraved text including "Reservist Hat-Ruh." Regimental and personal names are inscribed on the sides in black script. The vessel is further decorated with military scenes, German script, and a bottom lithophane image depicting figures in period dress. Measuring 12" tall x 12.5" diameter. This stein served as a commemorative piece for a German Army reservist, dating to the early 20th century. Condition appears consistent with age, exhibiting some surface wear, and the pin holding the lid is missing and has been repaired with a bolt. PM
