Two oval badges created for the Winterhilfswerk (WHW) street collections during the Third Reich period, approximately 1933 to 1945. Both badges feature light blue plastic frames housing embroidered panels that depict traditional Tyrolean folk attire, one with a female and one with a male figure set before an alpine landscape. The relief lettering on the frames reads "Tirol." These badges are part of the Gau-level regional costume series and were distributed to individuals making small charitable donations. The reverse sides are fitted with metal pins, which show minor surface dirt and light oxidation. Each badge measures 1.75 inches in height and 1.25 inches in width. Produced in large numbers, these badges were emblematic of the WHW's efforts to promote regional identity while raising funds for winter relief. SC
