Two Winterhilfswerk (WHW) donation badges issued during the Third Reich (1933-1945) for Winter Relief street collections. The first is a Salzburg woman depicted in a traditional costume, presented in an ivory-colored plastic frame marked "Salzburg." The frame demonstrates the fragile plastic construction typical of the period. The second badge shows a Kaernten man wearing traditional attire, with a fabric insert, and is missing its original frame. This badge exhibits significant staining and foxing to the fabric. Both badges were standard WHW donor gifts and illustrate the organization’s efforts to raise funds through the distribution of regionally themed tokens. Each badge measures 1.75 inches in height and 1.25 inches in width. SC
