Two plastic-framed embroidered badges issued as donation gifts by the Winterhilfswerk (WHW) during the Third Reich period, specifically at the Gau, or regional, level. Each badge features a stitched depiction of a woman in regional folk dress, representing Oberdonau and Niederdonau. The frames are light blue plastic with the regional names molded along the base. Produced between 1933 and 1945, these badges were distributed in connection with the Winter Relief Fund, a state-organized charitable effort. The fabric shows minor staining, and the plastic frames exhibit light wear. Each badge measures 1.75 inches in height and 1.25 inches in width. The reverse sides are fitted with metal pins for attachment and retain the original backing material. SC
