AVAILABLE FOR SHIPPING or LOCAL PICKUP > An utterly unique hollow studio pottery rabbit sculpture, standing 5" tall, measuring 6" long x 4.5" wide, and weighing around 12 oz. The form is highly abstracted, with a rounded hand formed body, simplified facial structure and heavily modeled upper features suggesting ears and head. The hollow construction keeps the piece surprisingly light for the size. The surface treatment is especially distinctive, combining a pale pink to mauve ground with darker gray green vertical drips and heavily textured areas across the top. Portions of the glaze have a dry, crackled, almost volcanic surface, while other areas are thicker and raised, giving the rabbit a deliberately rough sculptural character. Rather than a conventional figural rabbit, this piece is best understood as abstract studio pottery sculpture, with the maker emphasizing form, texture and glaze movement over realism. No attribution should be made without a confirmed mark or documented match. CONDITION REPORT > As discovered, not cleaned or altered. Surface cracking, glaze irregularity, heavy texture and raised glaze effects are integral to the handmade appearance.
