AVAILABLE FOR SHIPPING or LOCAL PICKUP > A substantial signed studio art pottery bowl, standing 3.75" tall, measuring 7" overall in diameter, and weighing an impressive 2 lbs. The vessel is formed with a broad rounded body and deeply ruffled free form rim, finished in a rich cobalt blue glaze with darker brown and smoky accents concentrated along the outer folds and edge. The interior carries a glossy blue glaze with lighter flowing variation toward the center, giving the bowl considerable visual depth. The underside is clearly signed HARRIS. The maker has not been definitively identified, so the piece is offered under the signed name rather than assigned an unsupported attribution. The stout 2 lb weight gives this relatively compact bowl notable substance and presence, while the irregular sculptural rim and heavy glaze treatment make it especially effective as a decorative studio pottery centerpiece or art vessel. CONDITION REPORT > As discovered, not cleaned or altered. Exhibits the glaze variation and surface characteristics associated with handmade studio pottery.
