Peter Max (1937–2025), Roseville Profile 2012, Hand-Signed Serigraph, 194/350. A vibrant hand-signed color serigraph on wove paper by celebrated Pop artist Peter Max, titled Roseville Profile 2012 and dating to 2012. The composition presents Max's highly stylized profile motif beneath an exuberant crown of abstract flowers, rendered in saturated reds, yellows, blues, greens, and white against broad vertical fields of blue, violet, and coral. The heavily textured passages of color give the floral forms an almost impasto-like appearance and provide a lively contrast to the comparatively restrained linear profile below. The work is hand-signed by Peter Max in pencil at the lower right and numbered 194/350 at the lower left. According to the accompanying Park West Gallery Certificate of Authenticity, this example belongs to the principal edition of 350 serigraphs, with additional artist's proofs and other proof editions also produced. The Park West documentation identifies the image as Roseville Profile 2012, registration no. 282950.0137, and confirms the medium as serigraph in color on wove paper. The work is attractively presented in a substantial black frame with black matting and a narrow gold inner liner. Accompanied by the original Park West Gallery Certificate of Authenticity and 2013 Park West appraisal, which assigned a then retail replacement value of $1,550 including the frame. It has certainly appreciated since that time! Art Dimensions: 9 1/16 x 6 7/8 inches. Frame Dimensions: 24 x 21 inches. Condition: Very good. No issues. Please be sure and view all photos.
