Rare Amanda Dunbar (Canadian/American, b. 1982), “Wild Lily at Dawn,” 2000, a signed and numbered limited edition giclée on canvas. This expressive floral composition centers on a dramatic yellow wild lily rising against a richly layered, painterly background of soft lavender, rose, cream, earthy brown, green, and charcoal tones. Broad, energetic passages of color and the enlarged scale of the flower give the work an almost abstract quality, while the luminous yellow petals provide a striking focal point against the more subdued surrounding palette. Looks amazingly like the original. Signed Amanda Dunbar and numbered 49/49, this example is from the signed and numbered edition of 49. The accompanying documentation identifies the image size as approximately 25 x 34 inches and the medium as giclée on canvas. Published by New Millennium Publishing and printed by Orison's, Texas. The original painting from which the edition was produced was an oil on canvas created by Dunbar in 2000. Presented in an elaborate molded gilt-finished frame measuring approximately 48 x 38 inches overall. Accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, additional publisher documentation, purchase documentation, and a 2012 Dunbar Studios appraisal stating a retail value of $2,500 at that time.
