A colorful and elegant serigraph by French artist Linda Le Kinff, titled Soit Dit en Passant, depicting a reclining red-haired woman surrounded by sweeping floral forms and softly modeled areas of pink, lavender, blue, yellow, green, and burgundy. Le Kinffs characteristic elongated figure, simplified facial features, fluid contours, and richly decorative palette give the composition a dreamlike, sophisticated quality. The strong diagonal placement of the figure and flowers creates a sense of movement across the image while the softly blended background provides an atmospheric contrast to the crisp outlines and saturated colors. Executed in 2003 as a serigraph in color on paper, the work is hand-signed in pencil by Linda Le Kinff at the lower right and designated HC 24/50 (Hors Commerce) in pencil at the lower left. The accompanying Fine Art Sales/Park West documentation identifies this as part of a Hors Commerce edition of 50 and lists additional numbered, European, artist’s proof, printer’s proof, and bon à tirer editions. Registration No. 129283.0035. Accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity and prior Fine Art Sales/Park West appraisal documentation. The 2012 Park West appraisal listed a retail replacement value of $2,575. Artwork Dimensions: 19.5 x 16 inches. Frame Dimensions: 30 x 26 inches. Condition: Very good overall condition. The colors remain strong and attractive, and no significant visible tears, staining, losses, or other major condition issues are apparent in the areas visible through the framing. The work is professionally matted and framed and presents very well. Frame is also in very good overall condition with minor signs of handling or age consistent with use. Not examined out of frame.
