Lee Universal Case Expanding Die in Box

One Lee Precision Universal Case Expanding Die in the original box with the factory instruction sheet. The die body is stamped LEE EXPNDR A9. Lee describes it as a tapered expander that will flare any case from 22 caliber through 45 caliber. This is the die that makes cast bullet loading easy. A short, gentle taper opens and belts the case mouth just enough for a flat based cast or plated bullet to start straight instead of shaving a ring of lead off the base, and because the taper is universal one die covers a whole bench full of calibers instead of a separate expander plug for each one. It is a favorite for 45 ACP, 38 Special, 44 Magnum and 45 Colt work with cast bullets. The die uses standard seven eighths by fourteen press threads. Condition is excellent. The steel is bright with clean threads and no rust or pitting, the lock ring turns freely, and the box and instruction sheet are present with light shelf wear.
