A collection of late 19th and early 20th-century photographs, featuring three card-mounted images and an assortment of loose snapshots. The card-mounted works include a formal studio portrait of a man with the printed mark Elite, an outdoor portrait of a seated elderly couple, and an architectural study of a two-story timber-frame house with figures standing in front of a fence. The loose silver gelatin snapshots comprise various subjects, including a landscape inscribed Loch Lomond, family groups, and a series depicting a collapsed truss bridge. Several snapshots feature handwritten ink inscriptions, including the location Loch Lomond and the date July 3 1928. The assortment includes albumen prints on card mounts and various silver gelatin snapshots. Dimensions (measured against a ruler): Large mount: W approx. 30.5 cm Cabinet cards: H approx. 16.5 cm x W 10.8 cm Snapshots: various sizes up to approx. 14 cm wide. Condition: The collection shows typical signs of age, including fading, foxing, and surface spotting. The card mounts have bumped corners and some edge wear. Snapshots exhibit minor curling and occasional silver mirroring.
