A matching set of fine white porcelain tableware consisting of an oval lidded vegetable tureen with scrolled handles and a sauce boat with a fixed integral stand. The items are decorated in a neoclassical style, featuring a blue Greek key meander border embellished with swags of yellow and pink flowers. Central vignettes depict stylized baskets filled with pink roses. The rims and handles are finished with hand-applied gold gilding. The decoration is a combination of transfer printing with hand-painted enamelled highlights. The base of the tureen bears the handwritten numerals 4778 over 31 in a dark pigment, alongside a faint numeral 24. Dimensions (measured against a ruler): Tureen length approx. 23 cm; Sauce boat stand length approx. 20.5 cm. Condition: Both pieces are in good overall condition. There is visible rubbing and wear to the gold gilding on the rims and handles consistent with age and regular use. A few minor manufacturing imperfections, such as stray spots of colour, are present. No chips, cracks, or signs of repair.
