The reverse of this photograph is a postcard back with bilingual POST CARD / CARTE POSTALE text and a Kodak K mark. The second military portrait shows a soldier in a light-coloured service dress tunic and trousers, wearing a Field Service cap. The civilian photographs include a large sepia-toned cabinet card of a man with a handlebar moustache, with a studio mark at the base reading McFadden's Ground Floor Gallery, Corner Simcoe & Aylmer Sts., PETERBOROUGH. This is accompanied by a mid-to-late 19th-century tintype (ferrotype) depicting three men in civilian attire, and a small Victorian cabinet card portrait of a woman in an oval-framed mount. Large cabinet card width approx. 10.5 cm Military portraits width approx. 6.5 cm and 8.5 cm Tintype width approx. 5.2 cm Small cabinet card width approx. 4.2 cm.
