An assortment of approximately 27 vintage silver gelatin prints produced by The Gowen, Sutton Co., Ltd., Vancouver, Canada. The collection includes the original printed retail envelope for Miniature Photos of Capilano Canyon. Subject matter focuses extensively on Western Canadian topography, featuring views of Capilano Canyon, the spiral tunnels of the Canadian Pacific Railway, Stoney Creek Bridge, Mount Stephen at Field, Kicking Horse River, Johnson Canyon in Banff, and Twin Falls in Yoho Valley. Additionally, the lot contains interior views and regalia photographs from Edinburgh Castle, Scotland, including the Audience Chamber and Bedroom of Mary Queen of Scots and the Honours of Scotland. Most prints feature printed identifying captions within the image area. One print bears a handwritten ink inscription on the reverse reading Huskies St. Anthony. Dimensions: approx. 7.5 cm x 10.7 cm. Condition: Several prints exhibit silver mirroring in the shadowed areas, characteristic of vintage silver gelatin processes. One landscape depicting Twin Falls has a pronounced vertical crease. One print shows a significant peripheral light-leak or development artifact. General minor edge wear and surface soiling consistent with age is present across the collection. The original paper envelope shows creasing and wear.
