An assortment of used postage stamps, primarily from the United Kingdom with one Australian issue, mostly preserved as paper clippings from envelopes. The collection features definitive issues of King George VI in various colours and values, including 1/2d green, 1d scarlet, 1 1/2d brown, 2 1/2d blue, and 3d purple. Commemorative stamps include the 1937 Coronation 1 1/2d brown-purple issue, the 1940 Stamp Centenary 2 1/2d blue, and the 1948 Olympic Games 3d brown. King George V definitives are represented in 1s brown, 9d green, and 4d grey-black values. The Australian issue consists of a 1 1/2d denomination. All stamps are perforated and bear postal cancellations, including circular date stamps with partial town names such as Ayrshire, Argyll, and Glasgow. Dimensions: Width of standard definitive stamp approx. 2.1 cm (Measured against a visible tape measure). Condition: Used condition. The stamps are on-paper clippings with irregular, hand-torn edges. Cancellations include light and heavy circular date stamps, some of which obscure portions of the printed design. Perforations are generally intact.
