An assortment of vintage music-related periodicals and ephemera, primarily consisting of loose issues and pages from The Etude music magazine. Published by Theo. Presser of Philadelphia, the collection includes material dated September 1905 and June 1906. These quarto-format publications contain pedagogical articles, such as Modern Method for the Pianoforte by Arnoldo Sartorio, alongside vocal and instrumental sheet music including Octavo Music for Glee Clubs and Quartets. Period advertisements for products such as Pears' soap, Grimm’s Practical Instruction Book, and various music publishers including White-Smith Music Pub. Co. and Clayton F. Summy Co. are featured throughout. Also present is a piece of illustrated sheet music titled The Roman Charioteer March by Park Clifford, published by Leo. Feist, New York. The collection further includes a modern commemorative 24-page newspaper tribute to Princess Diana published by The Toronto Sun (c. 1997). Dimensions: Height approx. 34.3 cm (measured against a tape measure). Condition: The collection is in aged condition, exhibiting significant yellowing, heavy foxing, edge chipping, and tearing throughout the unbound pages. Brittle edges and fraying are present on many of the earlier periodical sheets.
