A matched pair of vintage drop earrings in a silver-toned metal. Each earring comprises a circular top disc featuring a stamped beaded border, suspending a large, hollow, spherical drop. The spheres are constructed with intricate wirework filigree patterns and are finished at the base with three small suspended metal beads. The earrings are fitted with hook-style ear wires. The metal displays visible green oxidation and tarnish within the filigree recesses, suggesting a base metal core with a worn silver-coloured plating. The design is in the style of traditional Croatian botuni jewellery. Dimensions: Total drop approx. 5.1 cm. Condition: The earrings are in fair vintage condition with signs of age-related wear. Significant surface tarnish and verdigris oxidation are present throughout the filigree work and bead clusters. The hook-style ear wires show visible distortion and bending.
