This pair of vintage stereoview cards comprises two distinct historical scenes published by Benjamin West Kilburn. The first card, titled "14507. A Halo of Crystalline Beauty, Pan American Exposition," features a nighttime view of the electrically illuminated architecture at the 1901 world’s fair in Buffalo, New York, with a copyright date of 1901. The second card, numbered 13535 and titled "Hospital dispensary," depicts an interior scene within a military medical field tent showing staff in uniform at work, carrying a copyright date of 1900. Both cards are silver gelatin prints mounted on standard curved buff cardstock. The left margin of each card bears the printed mark for distributor "JAMES M. DAVIS" with locations in New York, St. Louis, Liverpool, Toronto, and Sydney. The reverse of the mounts is printed with "Photographed and Published by B. W. KILBURN, = Littleton, N. H." c. 1900-1901 Width: approx. 17.8 cm. Condition: Both cards exhibit condition commensurate with age, including light foxing and minor wear to the edges and corners of the cardstock mounts. The Exposition card shows some small spots of surface soiling in the upper sky area. The photographic images remain clear with good tonal range and contrast. No visible tears or significant creases are present.
