Southern folk art face jug by Georgia potter Billy Joe Craven. The jug features a smooth rutile blue-gray glaze with soft blue streaks across the body. A long, prominent nose gives the face an exaggerated character, while close-set white clay eyes with small green irises stare forward. Three large rounded white ceramic teeth protrude from the wide open smile.
