Two Southern folk art face jugs. The left jug by Georgia potter Terry Hosey features an olive-gray alkaline glaze, bulging white eyes, prominent brows, an oversized nose, two large buck teeth, and a replicated face on the back. Hand-sculpted arms folded beneath the chin add a playful, whimsical detail. The right jug by North Carolina potter Randy P. Tobias features a glossy oxblood-red glaze, pointed devil horns, wide white eyes, an incised goatee, and an open mouth with a row of teeth.
