Two Southern folk art face jugs. The left jug by Georgia potter Billy Joe Craven features a dark brown alkaline glaze, white ceramic teeth, and a sculpted cigar held in the mouth, adding a playful touch to the expressive face. The right jug by Stanley Ferguson of Gillsville, Georgia features heavily textured eyebrows, wide-rimmed eyes, prominent ceramic teeth, a detailed incised mustache, and an inscription on the back reading, "made on my 62nd birthday."
