Three Southern folk art face jugs. The left jug by Georgia artist Frank Van Dorsten features a soft blue-gray satin glaze, drooping eyelids, yellow-green eyes, and a textured white clay mustache with block-shaped teeth. The center jug from SK Owens of North Carolina has a bright glossy red glaze, simple incised eyes, an open orange mouth, and heavy black eyebrows. The right jug features a mirror-like black glaze, bulging white eyes with black pupils, and bright red lips holding a small white ceramic pipe or cigar.
