1946-1964 Roosevelt Silver Dimes 60 Plus

United States Roosevelt dimes struck in 90 percent silver, the alloy used on dimes through 1964. Every date we can read falls inside that window: 1946, 1947, 1948, 1950, 1953, 1957, 1959, 1960, 1961, 1963 and 1964. A D for Denver is readable on several reverses at the lower left of the torch, and no S is legible. The coins are heaped in overlapping stacks, so we can only say roughly 60 to 70 dimes are visible and the exact count cannot be confirmed from the photographs. Grades run Good to Extremely Fine, most with flattened hair and a soft torch flame. Surfaces are gray with light golden toning and scattered rim nicks. No corrosion, no cleaning. Each 90 percent dime holds about $4.75 in silver at recent prices near $66 per ounce, so 60 pieces come to roughly $285 and 70 pieces to roughly $330, and metal moves, so check spot before you bid. Ninety percent silver is trading at or near melt right now because refiners are backed up on small lots. Estimated Value: $285 to $340. Sold as-is.
