A ringed bi-metallic ten dollar casino gaming token from the Luxor in Las Vegas, dated 1998, in a clear two-piece plastic snap capsule. The obverse center carries the date, the Luxor obelisk and pyramid logo and .999 FINE SILVER; the brass ring reads LIMITED EDITION TEN DOLLAR GAMING TOKEN over LAS VEGAS, NV. The reverse shows a seated Egyptian figure in profile facing right, holding a crook and an offering. That reverse is what separates this token from the other two Luxor lots here. Only the center disc is silver. The outer ring is gold-colored brass with no silver value, so this is not a full ounce token. The .999 fine center holds about 0.60 troy ounces, roughly $39.60 at recent prices near $66 per ounce, so check spot. Devices are frosted and unworn and the ring is bright, but this token has seen more handling than its mates: fine hairlines and several short scratches cross the open silver field right of the logo and across the figure's skirt. No dents, no rim damage. Estimated Value: $40 to $55. Sold as-is. Photos are the most accurate description of this lot. Written descriptions are a guide only and may contain errors.
