A ringed bi-metallic ten dollar casino gaming token from the Stardust Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, in a clear plastic snap capsule. The obverse center reads The Legendary above STARDUST in the casino's angular star-topped lettering, then RESORT AND CASINO LAS VEGAS over BOYD GAMING and .999 FINE SILVER. The reverse shows Dusty Draw, a cartoon cowboy in a top hat with six-guns, marked $10 and LIMITED 1,700, over 1958 - 2006 CELEBRATION. Only the center disc is silver. The outer ring is gold-colored brass with no silver value, so this is not a full ounce token. The .999 fine center holds about 0.60 troy ounces, roughly $39.60 at recent prices near $66 per ounce, so check spot. The token is as made, with bright satiny inserts, frosted devices, light hairlines and a few handling marks in the fields, and no wear or rim damage. The Stardust opened in 1958 and closed in 2006, and the stated mintage of 1,700 makes this one of the smaller strikes from that farewell series. Estimated Value: $40 to $55. Sold as-is.
