A ringed bi-metallic ten dollar casino gaming token from the Luxor in Las Vegas, dated 1998, in a clear two-piece plastic snap capsule. The obverse center carries the date, the Luxor obelisk and pyramid logo and .999 FINE SILVER; the brass ring reads LIMITED EDITION TEN DOLLAR GAMING TOKEN over LAS VEGAS, NV. The reverse shows the Great Sphinx in the nemes headdress, the Luxor pyramid behind it and three palm trees at the right. This is the third of the three Luxor reverses offered here. Only the center disc is silver. The outer ring is gold-colored brass with no silver value, so this is not a full ounce token. The .999 fine center holds about 0.60 troy ounces, roughly $39.60 at recent prices near $66 per ounce, so check spot. It is proof-like and as made, with bright reflective fields, frosted devices, and some fine hairlines across the obverse field, fewer than on the seated figure token in this group. The Sphinx side is crisp and clean, with no wear or rim damage. Estimated Value: $40 to $55. Sold as-is. Photos are the most accurate description of this lot.
