One paper roll in a solid orange quarter wrapper printed $10 QUARTERS and MADE IN U.S.A.; a full roll is 40 quarters. The wrapper is clean and intact with light creasing, but the roll is not factory crimped. Both ends were worked open by hand, so only the two end coins are verifiable and the other 38 are undocumented. One end shows a Washington obverse dated 1776-1976 with a D mint mark right of the ribbon. That coin has a strong warm gold cast from light off the orange paper; it is not plated or colorized, and underneath it is a circulated clad quarter with wear on the cheek. The other end shows the Bicentennial drummer reverse, a grey clad quarter, lightly circulated with complete detail. No corrosion or verdigris on either. A printed code on one crimp reads roughly J-79 and is not clearly legible. Pencil on the wrapper reads Bicentinnial Qtrs, spelled as written. Bicentennial quarters made for circulation are clad and hold no silver. Estimated Value: $9 to $13. Sold as-is. Photos are the most accurate description of this lot.
