Four Roosevelt dimes dated 1948, 1957, 1958 and 1962, all 90 percent silver. The dates are clear on the obverse close-ups. The reverses were photographed only as one group shot, in a different order from the obverses, so while three D mint marks and one S are visible left of the torch base, we cannot say which date carries which. The 1948 is the most worn, the hair and cheek flattened and a dark band across the neck. The 1962 is brightest and least worn, close to uncirculated. The 1958 has light wear and heavy golden-orange rim toning; the 1957 is darker with mottled brown patches. On the reverses, one is toned brown-black across the whole face and another carries scattered black specks over the field and lettering. The four hold 40 cents face in 90 percent silver, about $19 at recent prices near $66 per ounce, and metal moves, so check spot before you bid. On dimes of this era the mint mark sits on the reverse; it vanished from 1965 to 1967 and returned on the obverse in 1968. Estimated Value: $20 to $28. Sold as-is.
