Three 90 percent silver Mercury dimes, two dated 1936 and one dated 1938, all three dates plainly readable. Mint marks are another matter. On one reverse the position at the lower left of the fasces is in focus and empty, so that coin reads as Philadelphia. On the other two, dark charcoal toning covers that position and no letter can be resolved, so neither is attributed to a mint here. All three are circulated to a similar level, cheek and jawline flat, partial wing feather outlines surviving, fasces bands soft but complete. Each carries medium to heavy gray toning with darker charcoal patches, heaviest on one 1936, plus scattered dark spots and a few tiny nicks. No luster remains, and there is no corrosion or cleaning brightness. The three hold about 0.217 troy ounce of pure silver, roughly $14 at recent prices near $66 per ounce, and metal moves, so check spot before you bid. Mercury dimes ran only from 1916 to 1945, and common dates like these trade on metal rather than rarity. Estimated Value: $15 to $22. Sold as-is. Photos are the most accurate description of this lot.
