1776-1976-D Bicentennial Ike Dollar Clad

One Eisenhower dollar of the Bicentennial type, copper-nickel clad, with no silver content. The silver Bicentennial dollars carry an S, so this Denver coin holds no precious metal. The obverse shows the dual date 1776-1976 with a legible D below the neck truncation, and the reverse carries the Liberty Bell over the moon with the initials DRW. Detail is sharp in the hair, cheek and jaw with no high point wear, and the coin appears to grade uncirculated. Fields are light grey to warm golden with scattered fine contact marks and small dark specks along the jaw and neck. One defect needs plain disclosure: the reverse carries a dark grey-brown smudge or stain spreading across the left field and onto the left side of the bell, with lighter grey mottling below. It reads as a stain or residue film, possibly tape or glue, rather than corrosion pitting, and should be examined in hand. No rim damage and no bends. The bell and moon reverse was used only in 1975 and 1976. Estimated Value: $2 to $3. Sold as-is. Photos are the most accurate description of this lot.
