A sterling silver topped clothes brush with an elongated oval form. The silver casing features engine-turned linear decoration surrounding a central vacant shield-shaped cartouche, further embellished with stylized floral and foliate motifs to the centre and ends. The natural-coloured bristles are secured into a central core. The side of the silver mount is stamped STERLING followed by three hallmarks comprising a maker mark within a rectangular cartouche, a lion passant, and an anchor symbol (recheck). Length approx. 18.8 cm (measured against a ruler in inches) Width approx. 5.0 cm (measured against a ruler in inches) Weight 109g (gross weight, measured on a scale). approx. silver weight is 45-65grams Condition: The silver top exhibits surface tarnishing and minor scratches consistent with age and use. The bristles are largely intact and well-seated within the core.
