A collection of mixed sterling silver flatware and serving items by the Canadian silversmith Birks. The group includes various patterns, with the majority featuring a simple rounded terminal with a fine reeded border. The collection consists of a teaspoon, two large serving spoons, a small fork with pierced decorative tines, a large serving fork decorated with a neoclassical rosette and scrolling foliage, a fish knife, a cake server, and a butter knife. The fish knife and cake server are constructed with weighted sterling silver handles and stainless steel blades. Many pieces are engraved with a Gothic-style monogram, identified as the initials J H. The collection is presented in a green felt storage roll stamped with the Birks logo. Items marked BIRKS STERLING and STAINLESS. Gross weight: 458 g Approximate lengths read from a tape measure: Teaspoon 15 cm, Serving Fork 21.5 cm, Serving Spoons 21.5 cm, Pierced Fork 18 cm, Fish Knife 21.5 cm, Cake Server 24 cm, Butter Knife 17 cm. Condition: Good overall condition with surface wear, fine scratches, and tarnish consistent with age and use. The items bear a Gothic monogram. The steel blades show minor signs of use.
