A set of eight butter spreaders by Birks, featuring sterling silver handles and stainless steel blades. The handles are of weighted construction and decorated with a double-threaded reeded border. Each handle terminal is engraved with a Gothic script monogram, possibly the letter H. The handles are stamped BIRKS STERLING and the blades bear the mark BIRKS STAINLESS. The set is accompanied by a green fabric storage roll with a printed mark for Birks Jewellers. Weight: 290g (gross total). Condition: The silver handles show surface tarnishing and light scratching consistent with age and domestic use.
