This item is a 19th-century domestic tinware lot comprising a twelve-tube taper mould and a matching filler funnel, constructed from tinned sheet iron. The candle mould is designed with twelve tapered tubes arranged in two rows of six, joined at the top by a rectangular pouring tray and at the base by a supporting frame. It features a side-mounted contoured sheet metal handle and a wire ring at the top. Each tube tapers to a pointed end with a small aperture for threading wicks. The accompanying tall filler funnel features a wide cylindrical top section and a narrow, tapered pouring spout. Both pieces show hand-soldered construction characteristic of 19th-century utility ware. Dimensions (measured against a ruler): Mould H approx. 28 cm x W 26.5 cm; Funnel H approx. 31 cm. Condition: Both components exhibit an aged and used condition with significant surface oxidation, darkening of the metal, and areas of pitting throughout. The base of the candle mould and the edges of the top tray show several dents and structural deformations. No structural repairs are apparent.
