A pure linen souvenir tea towel, designed by Nelson, featuring detailed pictorial map designs of Northern Ireland. The printed decoration includes various regional landmarks such as the Giant's Causeway, Londonderry Guildhall, and Belfast City Hall, alongside scenic vignettes of Whitepark Bay and the Mourne Mountains. The maps are enriched with local symbols including the Red Hand of Ulster, shamrocks, and the heraldic crests of the six counties: Antrim, Down, Armagh, Tyrone, Fermanagh, and Londonderry. Historical annotations reference the 1588 Spanish Armada and the 1689 Siege of Londonderry. Regional industries and pastimes, including flax growing, fishing, and golf, are also depicted within the intricate designs. The textile is signed Nelson in the corner and is printed with the marks ALL PURE LINEN and MADE IN IRELAND along the borders. Condition: The item is in excellent vintage condition with vibrant colours. There are no visible stains, tears, or significant signs of wear.
