One collection of silver-plated flatware comprising eight teaspoons, a serving spoon, and a mother-of-pearl handled butter knife. The teaspoons, manufactured by Holmes & Edwards, are marked on the reverse with SUPER PLATE and HOLMES & EDWARDS. Each spoon features a handle with a pointed terminal and flared edges, engraved with a stylised monogram above a floral and scroll motif. The serving spoon features a decoratively shaped bowl with engraved scrollwork and is fitted with a cream-coloured swirled synthetic handle. It is marked on the neck with EP over NS in a shield, a circular punch containing the letter S, and an oval punch with the letters JB. The butter knife, by Allen & Darwin of Sheffield, features a mother-of-pearl handle and a silver-plated blade with light engraving. The ferrule is decorated with an embossed foliate design and bears the registration mark RD 141384. The blade is stamped with an oval containing A&D, a shield containing S, and a third punch depicting a lamp. The collection is housed in a green fabric storage roll with individual pockets. Dimensions: Teaspoon L approx. 15.2 cm. Condition: All items show signs of tarnish and light surface wear consistent with age and use. The silver plating remains largely intact across all pieces. The handles on the serving spoon and butter knife appear secure and free of cracks or significant damage.
