One lot of vintage illustrated textiles comprising a commemorative tablecloth and linen tea towels. The commemorative tablecloth, in the style of Daneshaw, celebrates the 1953 Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, featuring central vignettes of the Gold State Coach, Westminster Abbey, Elizabethan galleons, and a De Havilland Comet jet. Banners inscribed with Elizabeth II Coronation 1953 and Elizabethan Period 1558-1603 contrast the two historical eras, all enclosed within a floral border depicting the Tudor rose, Scottish thistle, and Welsh daffodil. The linen tea towel depicting Culzean Castle and its landscaped gardens is executed in a stylised mid-century manner and bears the printed signature of the British designer Pat Albeck. The Irish coffee recipe tea towel presents a whimsical illustrated guide on a shamrock-decorated green ground with anthropomorphic figures representing the various ingredients; the textile is printed with the mark All Pure Linen. Condition: The textiles are in good vintage condition with vibrant colours and no apparent staining, tears, or significant wear. Standard storage creases are visible throughout the collection.
