A vintage Japanese automatic pocket lighter manufactured by Omega, featuring a wrap-around pictorial scene identified as Gibraltar The Rock. The graphic depicts historical military personnel operating a cannon on a stone fortification, with a panoramic view of a coastal town on the reverse. The chrome-plated metal body is stamped on the base with the Omega Ω symbol, OMEGA, PAT NO. 412770, PAT NO. 302142, GUARANTEED QUALITY, JAPAN, and SUPER LIGHTER BY Y.B.C. The central fuel filler screw is additionally marked JAPAN. The flip-top mechanism is embossed with OMEGA on one side and a diamond-shaped manufacturer logo on the other. Height approx. 4.6 cm (measured against a ruler). Condition: The lighter exhibits visible signs of age and use, including surface corrosion and pitting to the chrome-plated components, most notably around the wick and flint wheel area. The pictorial wrap shows some lifting at the seams and general discolouration.
