A single rectangular evening clutch bag in black velvet, heavily embellished with hand-worked zardozi embroidery in gold-tone metallic wire. The front face is decorated with a botanical composition featuring three primary flowers with radiating petals, surrounded by scrolling ferns and smaller floral motifs. The reverse features a single horizontal embroidered band with a small central floral motif. The bag has a top zip closure and is lined with black textile. An internal fabric label is stitched to the lining and reads MADE IN INDIA in red text. A stamped paper tag bears the words BLACK GOLD and the number 522. Dimensions (measured against a ruler, only inches shown): W approx. 20.3 cm x H approx. 12 cm. Condition: The clutch is in good vintage condition. The black velvet surface shows an accumulation of lint and stray fibres. There are minor instances of loose or slightly uncoiled metallic threads consistent with the age and delicate nature of hand-worked bullion embroidery.
