A De Luxe Craft Master oil painting set manufactured by the Palmer Paint Sales Co. of Detroit, Michigan. This kit, bearing a 1954 copyright date, is housed in its original lithographed cardboard box. The lid features a colourful illustration of a woman painting a Parisian street scene with the Eiffel Tower. A paper label affixed to the side of the box identifies the specific subject of this set as DM 610 Village Snow. As indicated by the starburst graphics on the lid, the set was designed to include forty pre-mixed oil colours, three 12 inch by 16 inch mounted pre-planned canvases, and two artist's brushes. The lower edge of the lid is marked with the manufacturer's name, location, and lithography credits. Dimensions: approx. L 45.1 cm x W 32.4 cm (measured against a ruler; inches only shown on scale). Condition: The original cardboard box shows significant wear and age-related damage. Visible defects include crushing and structural loss at the corners, along with several tears and abrasions to the edges. The lithographed surface displays scuffs and surface marks consistent with long-term storage and handling.
