One mid-20th-century frame purse by Philippe Original. The exterior is crafted from a fine-weave floral tapestry featuring a central multi-coloured bouquet of roses and various flora on a black ground, enclosed by an ornate scrolled golden-coloured border. The handbag features a gold-tone metal frame with a decorative etched pattern, a double-ball kiss-lock clasp, and a gold-tone snake chain handle. The interior is lined with a cream-coloured ribbed faille fabric and carries the manufacturer's stamp. A small paper tag stamped with the reference 233 7 is included. Condition: The tapestry exterior remains vibrant and well-preserved. The gold-tone hardware shows light surface wear and minor tarnishing consistent with age. The interior lining displays some age-related foxing and light staining.
