Pair of matching clear glass covered loaf pans from the Anchor Hocking Fire-King line. Each pan is a one quart size with its own fitted clear glass lid topped by a molded pinecone shaped finial. The mark pressed into the bottom of one pan reads Anchor Hocking above the anchor logo, then Fire-King in script, then Ovenware and Made in U.S.A., with the number 409 above the mark and 1-QT below it. Both pans have small tab handles molded into the ends of the rim, and the lids sit down inside a shallow ledge so they stay put. Condition is good used vintage. Both pieces show the light cloudiness and fine surface scratching that comes from years of oven use and dishwashing, and there is haze on the lids in several photos. No chips or cracks are visible in any of the pictures. Covered loaf pans are hard to find with the original lids still present, and a matched pair like this is uncommon. Good practical oven to table bakeware. Estimated Value: $25 to $45 based on comparable recent sales. Sold as-is. Photos are the most accurate description of this lot.
