This Third Reich era presentation picture frame features an ornate gold-leaf gilded surface rendered with detailed hand-punchwork over a carved wooden frame and white gesso base. The gilded face is segmented into geometric panels displaying a micro-stippled starburst and diamond lattice grid. Prominently punched into the gold ground are heraldic shields alongside side panels displaying the National Socialist War Victims' Care organization (KSKOV) emblem. The central rectangular opening measures 7.5 inches wide by 5.25 inches high and houses a silvered glass mirror insert framed by an inner bevelled border. The reverse retains a hardboard backing panel secured by brads with two metal hanging loops. The gilded surface displays age patina, micro-scratching, edge gesso chipping, and exposed red bole along the high points. Frame measures 16.5 inches wide by 12.75 inches high overall.
