This WWII German civil defense (Luftschutz) medical kit satchel is constructed from rigid tan-brown hard-shell leather. Measuring 8.5 inches high by 9 inches wide, the pouch features heavy stitched edge seams, side flap closure straps with stud fasteners, dual riveted rear belt loops, and an internal removable sheet-metal liner tray designed to hold first-aid supplies. The interior lid is stamped with manufacturer and approval markings reading "M. Pech G.m.b.H. - Berlin / K. Nr. RL 5-37/27 / Vertrieb gemäß §8 Luftschutzgesetz genehmigt". Designed for air raid response personnel under Third Reich civil defense regulations, the pouch remains structurally firm with light surface scuffing, edge rub wear, and localized white residue/discoloration on the rear panel, while the internal metal tray shows light surface oxidation and scuffing.
