ca. mid-19th century; Primitive yellow pine Scandinavian-style combination kitchen wall rack with lidded "catch-awl" box. The rack is round head nail constructed with a raised panel backboard with "A-frame" hanger that has a mounted seven slot spoon rack. The "catch-all" box is mortise and tenon mounted to backboard with simple lift lid on nail-pinned hinge, typical of Scandinavian-type racks. The wood is possibly American yellow pine (possibly American origin crafted by immigrant); 18 3/4" x 9" x 19 1/4"H; Condition: Exctensive powder-post beetle infestation to box. A much later attempt to paint with builder's blue chalk is noted
