ca. dated 1953; Signed and dated by "V.P. Buhl (?)" on base. This mid-century reproduction of an early Pennsylvania toleware lighthouse shaped pot with flange foot, gooseneck spout, and mounted wire braced strap handle. The pot has a hinge mounted domed lid with brass knob, light lacquered ground and hand painted floral design on either side of the pot. The flange foot has golden rope twist design and lid has golden painted star and swag designs.; 6" dia. X 10" x 10 3/8"; Condition: extensive crackling to hand painted design. Tinware is fairly lightweight. It is a well done copy of older pieces.
