This 1951 Franklin Half Dollar features a portrait of Benjamin Franklin on the obverse, designed by John R. Sinnock, while the reverse showcases the Liberty Bell with the small eagle to the right. The coin’s simple, historic design reflects one of America’s most influential Founding Fathers. The Franklin Half Dollar was produced from 1948 through 1963 and was the last U.S. circulating half dollar to contain 90% silver before the Kennedy Half Dollar was introduced. Benjamin Franklin was a renowned statesman, inventor, scientist, and publisher, making this series popular with both collectors and history enthusiasts. 90% Silver • .3617 Troy Oz Silver • 1951 • Franklin Half Dollar
