This 1963 Franklin Half Dollar features a portrait of Benjamin Franklin on the obverse, with the iconic Liberty Bell and a small eagle on the reverse. The coin was produced during the final year of the Franklin Half Dollar series. The Franklin Half Dollar was struck from 1948 through 1963 and was the last regular-issue U.S. half dollar to contain 90% silver. Its design honors Benjamin Franklin, one of America’s most influential Founding Fathers, scientist, inventor, author, and statesman. 90% Silver • .3617 Troy Oz Silver • 1963 • Franklin Half Dollar
